Mushroom Figure

The sculpture is inspired by the mushroom called the bridal veil stinkhorn, or phalllus indusiatus, which has a delicate white netting, which looks like a veil or petticoat that descends from the mushroom’s cap to the forest floor. 

By placing the sculpture into the woodland environment it gives the effect of the mushroom growing from the earth that has mutated and formed into a life-sized  human figure.
